    Type: Native Tree/Shrub

    Height: 5-12' tall; 5-12' wide

    Sun: Full sun to partial shade

    Flowers: White

    Water: moist to wet well-drained soils

     

    Diciduous shrub prefers moist soils. Tiny, lemon-scented flowers appear in custers 10" across in early summer and create black elderberries in late summer that can make jams, pie fillings, and feed wildlife. Tolerates clay.
