Rhododendron viscosum (Swamp Azalea)

Type: Native Tree/Shrub

Height: 3-5'; 3-5' spread

Sun: Partial Shade

Soil: Moist, well drained soil

 

Found in swamps and bogs, this plant can tolerate periodic drought, although not consistently wet roots. White-to-pink flowers emerge early summer. Leaves turn yellow, orange, purple in fall.
