Lindera benzoin (Spicebush)

Type: Native Tree/Shrub

Height: 6-12'; 6-12' spread

Sun: Full sun to partial Shade

Soil: Well drained soils and clays.

 

Groups of greenish flowers bloom in spring. Needs male and female plants to polinate berries. Spicebush swallowtail larvae feed on the leaves of this shrub. Clay and drought tolerant.
