Cornus sericea (Red Osier Dogwood)

Type: Native Tree/Shrub

Height: 6-9' tall; 8-12' spread

Sun: Full usn to partial shade

Flowers: White

Water: Moist to wet soils and bogs

 

This red-twig dogwood makes a striking part of the garden in winter, when its stems turn bright red. Small white flowers in spring turn to fruit that supports birds in the summer.
