Amorpha fruticosa (False Indigo Bush)

Type: Native Tree/shrub

Height: 4-12' tall, 15' wide

Sun: full sun to partial shade

Flowers: Brown/red

Water: medium moisture

 

Tubular, scented flowers bloom in May-June in spiked clusters, followed by small seed pods in July and August. Good for moist areas or poor soils. Attracts Butterflies.
