Landscape Designing with Native Plants

We believe that landscaping can be both beautiful and sustainable, and we are committed to helping you create a space that is both aesthetically pleasing and environmentally responsible - at any size.

What a landscape design is:

Overall, the landscape design process involves collaboration between the designer and the client to create a customized plan that meets the client's needs while also incorporating sustainable practices and native plants to promote environmental health.

We specialize in designing beautiful and functional landscapes that incorporate a variety of native plants, including trees, shrubs, grasses, and wildflowers. Our team has extensive knowledge of local plant species and can recommend the best plants for your specific needs. We also consider factors such as bloom time, color, texture, and fragrance to create a design that is both visually appealing and functional. And - we carry the plants we place in your design, so you know you will be able to source all the plant material in house!

If you're interested in creating a beautiful, sustainable outdoor space that supports local biodiversity, our Landscape Design service is the perfect choice. Contact us today to schedule a consultation and learn more about how we can help you create the garden of your dreams*.

Our landscape design process:

Consultation: All our landscape designs begin with a site consultation

Design Interview: During a phone or video call, we will ask you questions about your goals, your desired aesthetic, and any specific functional requirements you may have. We will also review our contract with you and discuss our design process with you.

Conceptual Design: During another visit to your property, we will take measurements and photos of the specific location for your garden design. Based on the information gathered from previous conversations and these measurements, the designer will create a conceptual design. This will consist of sketches that illustrate the proposed layout and features of the landscape design.

Design Development: Once you've reviewed and approved the conceptual design, the designer will move on to the design development phase. This involves refining the design and selecting specific materials, plants, and features. The designer will also create detailed drawings and specifications that show the location and installation requirements for each element of the design.

Landscape designers are worth the money:

Overall, a landscape designer can provide you with the expertise, time-saving, cost-effectiveness, property value, and sustainability benefits that are worth the investment.

  1. Expertise: Landscape designers are trained professionals who have the knowledge and experience to create a functional and aesthetically pleasing outdoor space. They understand the principles of design, horticulture, and construction, and can apply that expertise to your specific project.

  2. Time-saving & Cost-Effective: A designer can help you avoid costly mistakes, such as choosing the wrong plants or materials, that can result in ongoing maintenance or replacement costs. You can avoid the haphazard garden aesthetic by following a well-thought-out garden design that can be planted in phases, granting you flexibility in how you manage your time and money.

  3. Increase Property Value: A well-designed landscape can significantly increase the value of your property. A landscape designer can create a plan that enhances your property's curb appeal and functionality, which can increase its marketability and value.

  4. Sustainability: A native plant landscape design offers several potential solutions for addressing problems on your landscape sustainably. A well-thought-out design can help address issues with soil erosion, flooding, wind, and even temperature control. This can help you reduce your water and energy usage and maintenance costs over time.
