EXPERT KNOWLEDGE AND SUPPORT FOR YOUR NATIVE GARDENING NEEDS
Exploring the world of Native Gardening is thrilling, as each new plant teaches us something new about what life does to thrive and how its parts connect with each other. And as with all new endeavors, learning about natives can come with a tremendous array of questions to answer and projects to undertake. Although creating a garden can create a place of peace and solitude, the practice of gardening is one of finding a thriving, supportive community to share with. Let the expert gardeners here at Seven Bends become a part of your community and support you in your gardening projects, small and large.
Do you want some help getting to know your yard? Are you planning a major improvement to your yard or garden? Do you just want some help adding a few native plants to the garden you already have? Seven Bends Nursery would love to help you with any of your large or small questions. Iara and Kyle have years of scientific and practical experience between them and put it to work making the best decisions to fit the specific needs of your space and desires. In our one hour consultation, we visit your property, provide an assessment of what you currently have, contrast that with what your goals are, and turn that into an overview of what we can do to help, and we recommend plant material, approaches we can take to help, and explain the benefits your yard will get from the work.
A one hour consultation from us is $75 and includes:
A description and identification of the current plants--invasive, native, non-native
General site characteristics: soil quality, light and shade, irrigation, current structures
Impacts of current areas on wildlife and ecology
Goals for the landscape
- Recommendations for potential plant material, site preparation, invasive species removal, and benefits of this work, potential design ideas

If you are ready to make changes to your garden, take all the guesswork out of the next steps by letting Seven Bends Nursery assist with design work. Starting from the goals you establish in our consultation, we help with projects large and small: additions of natives to a non-native yard, a small native-only garden bed, a complete overhaul of a yard, a native meadow reclamation, and anything in between!
Knowing what to plant is an essential step to native gardening, but doing the actual work still needs to get done. For those of us with time, it's a delight to do this work, but if you find yourself pressed and need a hand, allow our gardeners to do that hard work for you! We will arrange transport for our plant material and install your garden for you, so you can focus on maintenance and enjoyment of your beautiful new space.
